About Me
My name is Jackson Reilly, I currently teach Biology and Algebra I at Evolutions High School and am finishing up my 2nd year in TFA. Evolutions is a unique Providence Public School because it is both a startup and turn-around school; while Evolutions is currently three years old, the entire year one staff and administration left before the start of year two. That is when I was lucky enough to join!
Goals and Ambitions
Although I have loved my time teaching math and science in the classroom for the past two years, next year I will be supporting my school community as an aspiring principal through the PRN. I will get to look at classrooms and learning through a different lens and am looking forward to how this course will help expand my perspective and understanding of the social issues in our world. I will also be continuing my education at Johnson and Wales this fall in their Doctorate in Educational Leadership program. I am hoping to take the experience and knowledge I gain from these opportunities and grow as a leader in education to better fight for students and educational equity.
Things I Like
One of my favorite things is to sit out on my deck on a nice, warm night (perhaps with a glass of wine if I am so lucky) and read a good book or news articles! I am also a huge fan of the HBO shows Game of Thrones and Westworld, am obsessed with the Patriots, and love to cook. These things are all very important to me and my weekly routine as they bring me sanity, especially when the work week is at its craziest.
Looking forward to a productive class...
